Goals, Values, Vision
In the long term, I would like to start a community that is centered around farming and shared practices. In the short term, I am looking to share/lease/buy/work-trade for land to begin growing vegetables and continue learning. Looking ahead, I'd like to raise chickens, lamb and bees.
I attended Farm School in 2018 and have experience working on community and production farms in Flint, Michigan; Santa Fe, New Mexico; Mendocino California and Upstate New York.
I also worked at an off-the-grid sustainable intentional community in Northern New Mexico, where we grew as much food as we could in that dry, rocky climate.
Most of my career has been in education in some form, and I would also like to create an educational component to my farming practices: school field trips; overnight stays; etc.
My current goals are to meet local farmers and see what kinds of partnerships, learning, and cooperation are possible.
