Wild Wanderers Apothecary

Our family—my husband, son, adventure pup, and I—run a traveling apothecary while stewarding land across the country. As passionate permaculture farmers and bio-regional herbalists, we focus on local support, transparency, and sustainability, creating what we call ‘beyond organic’ products. We’ve built thriving homesteads for others using permaculture, hugelkultur, and agroecology to establish food forests and herbal farms. Though we live nomadically, our hearts are in every piece of land we care for, with dreams of homesteading our own one day while continuing to nurture the Earth.

Organic Practices

Our farming methods are rooted in permaculture, hugelkultur, and agroecology, all designed to work in harmony with nature and regenerate the land.

    •    Permaculture: We apply permaculture principles to design resilient, self-sustaining systems that mimic natural ecosystems. This method emphasizes observing nature’s patterns, building soil health, conserving water, and creating a closed-loop system that provides for the land and its inhabitants.
    •    Hugelkultur: We utilize hugelkultur for soil regeneration, using layers of organic material like wood, leaves, and compost to create mounds that retain moisture, improve fertility, and sequester carbon. This technique allows us to grow abundant, nutrient-dense crops with minimal external inputs.
    •    Agroecology: Our agroecological approach integrates native plants, wildlife, and biodiversity to cultivate food forests and herbal farms. This method helps us maintain soil health, promote natural pest control, and reduce the need for synthetic inputs while producing a variety of crops for nourishment and medicinal use.

Through these methods, we aim to regenerate and revitalize the land, building ecosystems that thrive sustainably while providing abundant harvests for ourselves and the communities we support.
