Thistle Do Farm will be a small-scale, diversified vegetable farm that will serve the weekly farmer’s market in Ann Arbor, offer a 12-week Community Supported Agriculture (CSA), an on-site farm stand and bulk orders for wholesale customers. 

Vision Statement:

Stepping onto the farm will be like exhaling. A relief at finding a place where everyone is welcome, where beauty blooms throughout the year and where fresh, nutritious vegetables are affordable and abundant. On the inhale you will be hit with the subtle scents of native wildflowers and freshly dug dirt. The farmstand will be overflowing with vibrant vegetables. The permanent beds will be visible beyond, building soil health and mycelial networks. The greenhouse will be full of delicious heirloom tomatoes and the fields with crisp roots and tender greens. It will be a place for community; from guest speakers to cooking demonstrations. Customers will be able to buy produce directly from our self-serve farm stand, through our weekly CSA or from us in person at the local farmer’s markets.

In all aspects of the operation of the business, the core tenets of Knowledge, Connection and Nourishment will be the driving force. Knowledge is a lifelong endeavour, to keep learning, to adapt to one's locality, and to get to know the people within it.  Connection to the community we inhabit and the land we steward is at the centre of it all. Nourishment is giving back and tending crops sustainably while providing affordable and healthy produce to members of the community.
