Past/Current Land Usage
Acreage description
40a Total. Approx. 7a in hay production. Approx. 15a wooded and 15a in open ground formerly in hay production. The balance is marsh.
Description of the property’s current condition, current use(s), and past use(s)
Tillable ground is easily accessible in two locations off the main road which is gravel. Mostly flat tillable divided into two fields - one that runs E to W and the other N to S.
Very low traffic on the road in this area.
Additional Information
Having come from a farming and ranch background from my parents and relatives, I am fond of the farming way of life. I'm deer hunter at heart and love improving the habitat for all types of wildlife including the birds and the bees.
I'm not looking to make money here though I expect I have to collect something to report on taxes. End goal is improved habitat, honoring the land and soil, attraction for wildlife, and keeping my taxes in ag.
Soil Type(s)
Varies from clay, clay mix, sandy loam.
