Vision for the Farm

The vision for our farm is one to function as a resource for our community. As our farm expands we hope to be a valued employer of passionate people, improving the quality of the land through responsible management, and ensuring that this farmland is protected and preserved.

This is still a  young farm that doesn't have a transition plan. However if we were to pass this off we would require a plan for maintaining such an operation... One that aligns with our goals to feed the local community and contribute to the local food economy as well as protect the environment and keep this in farmland.

Acreage description

We have our farming operation spread amongst two properties, roughly 3 miles from one another. One is 5 acres with 1/4-1acre "tillable" and on the other 20 acres we have 2-3 acre "tillable". We currently have one functioning greenhouse, one functioning hoophouse, one hoophouse under construction, and another greenhouse that is used as a barn and storage though soon to have electricity and more functionality as a greenhouse! Our two properties both hold intensive vegetable and flower gardens. We have an irrigation system in both gardens,  a wash/pack area, a walk in cooler, and all harvest and packing equipment necessary to run our farm as it currently operates. We have been growing as a farm for more than 5 years and are excited to offer seasonal farm hand positions as well as this year a co-manager role as we strive to learn and expand as a farm and business.

Soil Type(s)

Very sandy, with low to mid organic content. I do not know the trace mineral content.
