Cindy Kern

We are Cardinal Farms, a husband and wife first-generation farming operation that started in 2019. We have developed a trusted brand in our South Lyon location attending the local farmer's market, selling through our on-farm CSA and to local restaurants and grocers and on-farm education and events.. Due to litigation from neighbors and issues with the township, we are looking to relocate to a larger farm where we can continue to grow our vision of connecting the community to agriculture.

Goals, Values, Vision

Our mission and vision is to connect the community to small-scale agriculture through on-farm experiences and education as well providing locally and organically grown produce and cut flowers. We've been overwhelmed with the tremendous response we've had. The community is so hungry both for local food and for a space where they can connect to how that food is grown and the farmers who grow it. We want to create a space that continue this vision and grows it in hopes that what we built will outlive us and have an impact for future generations.

Organic Practices

We low-till and no-till and use regenerative, organic practices in our crop farming both for the produce and the cut flowers. We raise livestock using rotational grazing and humane practices from birth to harvest.
