Gardener of many years looking to create a food forest along with chickens, goats, and rabbits. I would like to find land affordable enough to build on or have existing housing that isn't in need of big repairs for our homestead. We want to get things started. We're 15 years out from retirement, and we plan to do more on-site as we escape our jobs.

I'm a gardener but have always done so without using participates, herbicides, or fungicides. I've read a metric ton about homesteading, permaculture, eco-ag, regenerative ag, food forests, and so on. My dream would be to win the lottery and buy a huge chunk of abused farmland that I could rewild, while using a portion for housing and a food forest.
