Goals, Values, Vision

Hi my name is Eric. My vision is to develop a diversified ag farm that is managed organically/regeneratively. The diversified includes livestock, and seasonal fruits and vegetables.

The vision is to slowly expand the farm business to include u-pick orchards, livestock experiences, apiary, and seasonal fruits and vegetable offerings.

A little about me.

I am originally from Philadelphia, PA (City) and went to Maryland (Eastern Shore) where I earned a BS in Agriculture, specifically livestock management. Since then I have worked as a biomedical researcher at various institutions such as The Van Andel Institute in Grand Rapids, MI. I am married with four children (21, 19, 14, 11), two lovely girls and two very boy, boys. We have lived here in Hawai'i for the past 20 years and have been back and forth visiting with friends in MI. Our kids fell in love with MI, but have not experienced MI winters yet! LOL I currently work at the University of Hawai'i at the College of Tropical Agriculture and Human Resilience, where I am an Education Specialist working with both extension agents and producers in the Sustainable and Organic Agriculture Program. (Take a look at the Podcast I produce). I have assisted in conducting vegetable trials for the best possible produce varieties for Hawai'i producers, including turmeric, ginger, cover crops, beets, sugar cane, tomato, Taro, aquaponics and more.

My goal is to start a farm that my wife can also run her womenʻs health business out of. The families would come and see my wife for the motherʻs needs, while the little ones and dad can experience the farm in various ways, while keeping a safe and warm environment as we hope to build and bond with the community as we grow.
