Goals, Values, Vision

My husband Chris and I started what was intended to be a hobby farm during covid. Little did we know, or understand that there is a desperate need for meat farmers in America.

Our hobby turned into a small business, and we are understanding now that we need to expand so we can attempt to meet the demand.

We currently have 50 acres we are farming, but we would like to lease more land to allow for more rotational grazing, while increasing herd sizes.

All of our animals are raised outdoors, with access to shelter for excessive weather. Our goal from the start has been to give the animals a natural life.

We currently attend farmer's markets, and we just opened a small on farm shop. I am currently looking at drop sites around Michigan, and would like to get our meat into restaurants and small grocery stores.

We have built our farm from the ground up, building fences and structures, installing waterlines, and pathways. We attend different educational courses as often as we can to continue learning and improving.

Organic Practices

We are not certified organic, nor are we seeking the certification. We may consider a natural certification down the road, right now we're still trying to keep up.

A natural life to us means grazing on browse, and grass. We do give our chickens and pigs grain because they cannot be sustained on hay or forage alone.

Our cows are 100% grass fed, and they have minimal impact on the ground since they are half the size of most cows. This was to protect  our small acreage from being worn out too quickly.
