Goals, Values, Vision

I have 5+ seasons of experience with Organic Practices in small-scale vegetable production. Most recently, I apprenticed at Sisters Hill Farm, in New York, mentored by David Hambleton. Using his systems and practices, I believe that small-scale vegetable production can be managed efficiently, ecologically, and profitably, while still providing outstanding affordable produce to customers. I believe that my strength as a farmer is my willingness to intelligently change a system, method, or market in order to achieve efficiency without sacrificing quality.

Farming Plans and Practices

Farming Method

Certified Organic, Organic Practices

I have practical experience in Organic Practices, but I understand that Certified Organic processes are useful for procuring certain markets. I believe both can be practical for the financial success of small-scale farms, without compromising on ecological and health-oriented goals. I also see small/full-sized tractor usage as a necessary component to healthy and reasonable workloads.
