Goals, Values, Vision

My vision would be to find a farm I can help manage and grow there operations. With the opportunity to either take over the farm or be equally partners. I would like to be able to pass the farm down to my kids and grandkids and great grandkids. So there will be generations of my family working the same land. My goals would be to create a regenerative system working with plants and animals to create a diverse ecosystem that produces abundantly while improving the soil. Food is medicine and healthy food shouldn’t not be expensive. I like the idea of “pay what you can” roadside stands for vegetables. As a farm we need to make money to operate but I’m not trying to get rich. Things I’d like to do on a farm include: Honey Bees and queen breeding as a revenue stream. Set up a couple geothermal greenhouses that would be used for aquaponics for fresh leafy greens and continually harvest fresh fish all four seasons as another revenue stream. Add Idaho Pasture pigs to the farm so we could sell feeder pigs and also raise two batches for processing out on pasture as a revenue stream of $10,000 per acre per batch. Add chicken for both meat and eggs for revenue. Add beef cattle. Add Orchard fruit trees and vegetable garden. Add water retention ponds and water works on the land to manage water usage and capture all the rainfall. The ponds will be living ecosystems and will have the nutrients necessary to grow vegetables. I’m young and have so many ideas the more I do the more I learn and my vision is always growing.

Certified Organic, Organic Practices

I believe we should be making the soil better than we received it by using regenerative practices and controlled animal grazing. Organic doesn’t mean what it used to.
