Hello! I currently consider myself a landless farmer. I've been raising food for the last 20 years and am now working remotely for a national ag non-profit, where I get to use the organizing, project management, and administrative skills gained over the years. My background is in organic fruits, vegetables, flowers, edible dry beans, seed keeping, and silvopasture/permaculture. Ideally, I could grow slowly with the farm in the first 2-3 years while maintaining my remote work and move more into a full-time farming role as the business grows. I'm happy to work alongside a current farmer looking to transition their land to a new owner and welcome creative, multi-party ownership and farming models too.

Goals, Values, Vision
I've been raising food for the last 20 years and am now working remotely for a national ag non-profit, where I get to use the organizing, project management and administrative skills gained over the years as well. My background is in organic fruits, vegetables, flowers, edible dry beans, seed keeping, and silvopasture/permaculture. I owned and operated a pasture-based, farrow to finish hog farm for about 8 years, and have managed 3 different fruit and vegetable operations over the years. I’m an experienced greenhouse and high tunnel grower both for seedling production and year-round growing. I can operate most small machinery. I also have an extensive background in agritourirsm, focused on farm weddings and a farm retail space and restaurant, and also including on-farm education and farm stays. I believe farms and farmers are powerful contributors to the quality of life in a local community, economically, socially and environmentally. I enjoy working together and getting along with my neighbors. In my final and hopefully forever farm, I look forward to raising my two young kids and focusing on 2-5 crops for larger markets. I am also really interested in exploring larger scale herb production as this is something I really enjoy but haven't explored yet. I'm looking for the right mix of location and land, including market access, places to hike and swim, and good schools and community to raise my family. From there I'm open to what the farm, the community and myself could support growing. Ideally I could grow slowly with the farm in the first 2-3 years while maintaining my remote work and move more and more into a full-time farming role as the business grows. I'm happy to work alongside a current farmer looking to transition their land to a new owner and welcome creative, multi-party ownership and farming models too. It takes a village!
