I am at a point in my life where I want to return to owning my own small farming business and would like to do that back in Michigan where I am from. I recently completed a master's program at MSU in horticulture in part to get a deeper understanding of large-scale farming and soil fertility and also to take some time back in state. I would like to take time to build something that may not be my primary source of income but that would let me use the skills I have built over many years to grow good food and be a part of a fundamental community. I really love farming, and I want to be able to have some part of my life dedicated to growing food even as I am getting older.
