Goals, Values, Vision

My goal is to have a farm alongside my partner that . We envision a property with nut trees, berries, goats, chickens, vegetables, bees, intentional design with native vegetation…. Land that is designed to coexist with our local ecosystem. We have big ambitions but a lot to learn. We need to gain a better understanding of all aspects of food growth, including outdoor and greenhouse grows, goat care, bee care, farm equipment maintenance, and further develop our carpentry skills. Oh yeah, and my dream has always been to have my own horses on my property after 15 years of riding them. Getting to that point would be my cherry on top. We’d love to be as close to fully self-sufficient as we can be in the next decade. Finally, we want to really try to build a community hub on our land. A place where those we love and those we are only beginning to know a place to connect and nourish themselves. I am a firm believer in bringing back a society growing more and more divided, and one universal thing in that is food. And too many people are so disconnected from what they eat and how they and their actions are connected to our planet’s ability to provide for us. I believe we need to change that and I’d like to play a part in doing that.
