Mandy

We are a young, growing family. We've been resistance gardening in a condo since the pandemic. Dad, Michael, is a full-time firefighter/paramedic and respected member of our community. Mom, Mandy, is a former healthcare executive with a biology degree and advanced business degree in her back pocket. Daughter, Meredith, is a bright girl who just started pre-k. She adores every animal she meets and loves learning about things in the garden. She's even starting to take over some of the chores! :)

Goals, Values, Vision

We have a vision of creating a sustainable, low/no-waste farm to feed our family and use the remainder of our harvest to either sell or donate to assist with food-security in our community.

Michael will maintain his career, which is a realistic goal considering time commitments. This will be Mandy's full time job.

Our vision for growth is to start with a modest staples-only garden and sustainably add one new crop and one animal species annually.

Michael's dad, Ted, has formal education and experience as a farmer. Our family is very supportive of our goals and eager to assist us.

We are hardworking, resourceful people. It won't be an easy thing to do but we are ready and committed to this lifestyle. We want to help preserve our beautiful country's farmland before it's too late.
