Goals, Values, Vision
My vision is to create a thriving small-scale flower farm rooted in healing, empowerment, and environmental care. As a Black woman and beginning farmer, I am passionate about restoring my connection to the land and providing locally grown flowers to underserved communities in Michigan.
My short-term goal is to secure ½–1 acre of land where I can grow seasonal cut flowers, herbs, and pollinator-friendly plants. I plan to sell bouquets at local farmers’ markets, offer flower subscriptions, and host pop-up events that bring people closer to nature.
Long-term, I see my farm expanding into a 2–5 acre operation with hoop houses, dried flower offerings, and community workshops. I want my farm to be a place of joy, creativity, and education — especially for youth and other women of color interested in agriculture.
I bring strong organizational skills, customer service experience, and a deep commitment to learning regenerative practices. With guidance from programs like MSU Extension, MIFFS, and USDA support, I’m confident in building a beautiful, sustainable flower farm that makes a lasting impact.
