Nicole L

I am moving into a new chapter of my life and would like to circle right back to my roots. I grew up on a small apple orchard farm with horses, chickens, and a garden we ate from. I would like that again in my life. I am interested in stewardship or lease to live on the land and care for it. I can provide my own tiny home with potential to modestly expand for when my adult children can visit. I am adamant about preserving the land as nature intended & to protect it from being sold to corporation

Goals, Values, Vision

I am seeking a place where I can return to my roots and live in closer connection with the land. I grew up on a small apple orchard with horses, chickens, and a garden that fed our family, and those early experiences shaped both my skills and my values. My vision now is to create a modest, sustainable homestead where I can grow food, tend a garden, and a small orchard. I would like to include chickens, 2-3 horses, and maybe goats, all while preserving space for pollinators and wildlife.

My farming plans are not for large-scale production but for careful cultivation, nourishment of the soil, and maintaining the health and integrity of the land. I can bring my own tiny home, with the potential for modest expansion, so that my adult children can visit. I will commit to improving the property each season and protecting it from the risk of corporate development.

I carry forward the skills I learned in my youth—gardening, orchard care, and animal husbandry—as well as a resourceful, hardworking spirit and a deep respect for the rhythms of nature. My greatest expectation is not just to live on farmland, but to honor it, care for it, and leave it better than I found it.
