Goals, Values, Vision
We are an Orthodox Chrisitan family who believes in faithful land stewardship, and that our work would be a part of being faithful to God’s calling for us to care for His creation and love our neighbors. Our vision is to eventually own a farm that practices regenerative/organic farming, teaching our children organic farming, the priceless value of land stewardship and animal husbandry, and leaving them a legacy they can pass on to future generations for the health and nourishment of the community. We have experience with poultry, farm animals, bees, and fruit trees. Jonathan is also a carpenter and general contractor, and can bring these skills to the farm and its infrastructure. Jonathan’s side of the family is originally from Michigan, and we have returned to Michigan to pursue this vision. We are hoping to find a farm where we can have mentorship, a partnership with the farmer working towards ownership, or lease to own.

Certified Organic, Organic Practices
We are open to certified organic, or organic or regenerative practices without organic certification. We know that certification is expensive, and often large companies try to appear to be organic without actually being faithful to the reason for organic farming. We care more about the actual practices than the certification.
