We want a self-sufficient life on the land: growing our own food, raising animals, and riding horses. Our vision is to take over a working farm and carry on the legacy of the farmer who built it, keeping it in agriculture for the next generation. We're a homeschooling family of five and want our kids to grow up learning the work firsthand. Organic Practices
We plan to farm organically, with no synthetic pesticides or chemical fertilizers. We want to build healthy soil through composting, animal manure, cover crops, and rotating crops and pasture. Our goal is to feed our own family first, with the option to sell any surplus locally. We'd like to raise animals on well-managed pasture and use them to improve the land. We're open to continuing whatever methods you've used and learning your approach, especially if the land is already certified or managed organically.
