Goals, Values, & Vision

Vision for the Land

The primary vision is to establish a multi-generational, self-sufficient homestead that operates as a closed-loop system. The goal is to create a secure environment that prioritizes food sovereignty and physical security for family members. I am looking to develop a diverse agricultural operation that includes:

Permaculture & Foraging: Integrating managed woodlots for mushroom cultivation and sustainable foraging.

Small-Scale Livestock & Crops: Providing nutrient-dense food sources for the family and local community.

Low-Impact Infrastructure: Utilizing sustainable building practices for housing and agricultural structures.

Core Values

I believe in sovereignty and stewardship. My approach is to move away from modern dependencies by building systems—water, energy, and food—that are resilient and self-managed. I value hard work, the preservation of traditional skills, and the protection of the family unit through localized production.

Skills & Experience

I bring a diverse set of technical and physical skills to this operation:

Carpentry & Renovation: Extensive experience in woodworking and home renovation, ensuring that all site infrastructure is maintained and improved.

Advanced Manufacturing: Utilizing 3D printing and design-thinking to create custom tools, replacement parts, and efficient farm solutions.

Land Management: Knowledge of Michigan’s native flora and a commitment to sustainable land use that preserves soil health for future generations.

Farming Method

I utilize a low-input, regenerative approach focused on long-term resilience and food sovereignty. My methods prioritize:

Permaculture Design: Integrating perennial crops and managed woodlots for mushroom cultivation and foraging.

Closed-Loop Systems: Minimizing external dependencies by recycling nutrients and managing water on-site.

Diversified Homesteading: Combining small-scale livestock with high-yield garden beds to ensure year-round food security.

Sustainable Infrastructure: Applying my background in woodworking and design to build durable, low-impact agricultural structures.
