Goals, Values, Vision
My wife and I are partners in our farming journey, and we are excited to take the next step — moving from a small hobby farm toward a more intentional, community-focused operation.
Our vision centers on community, connection, and regeneration. We want the farm to be a place where people can engage directly with the land, learn about sustainable practices, and build stronger ties with one another. A major focus of our farming ambition is improving soil health and sequestering carbon, which we see as critical for long-term resilience — both for the farm itself and for the broader environment. By nurturing healthy soils and adopting regenerative practices, we hope to contribute to a stronger, more resilient local food chain.
Equally important is the role the farm plays in raising our three young children and strengthening our family bond. We want them to grow up connected to the land, learning the value of hard work, stewardship, and community. The farm is not just a place to grow food, but a place to grow together as a family — rooted in care, curiosity, and a deep respect for nature.
Key skills that will support us include a commitment to continuous learning, a passion for community engagement, and a strong sense of connection to the land. We are also interested in fostering relationships within the local food system to create stronger networks of support and shared knowledge. Ultimately, we envision a farm that not only produces food, but also cultivates connection, resilience, and hope for future generations.

Our farming approach is rooted in a desire to work with the land, rather than against it. While we are still hobby farmers, each season we are steadily growing and becoming more intentional and regenerative in our methods. We currently raise chickens and goats, maintain a home garden, and have begun experimenting with adaptive grazing practices during the warm seasons to help build soil health and improve pasture resilience. Last year, we also raised turkeys and plan to add meat chickens to our operation in a coming season.
Our methods are heavily influenced by permaculture principles and regenerative agriculture. My wife, a landscape designer with deep knowledge of permaculture, planting systems, and spatial organization, brings a thoughtful, ecologically grounded perspective to the way we plan and manage the land. I work as a project manager by profession, which helps us stay organized, set goals, and continually improve our systems as we grow.
Overall, our farming methods are guided by observation, adaptability, and a commitment to enhancing the health of our soil, animals, and community ecosystem over time.
