Description of the property’s current condition, current use(s), and past use(s)

This 1902 Centennial Farm Farmhouse went through an entire renovation 11 years ago. It lies on a County Road less than 3 miles S.W. of Traverse City. The farm has a large functioning barn with electricity. The property is 61 acres of hardwoods, pine, pasture, wetlands, and access to Bass Lake. Adjacent to the Barn is a 4-Plex which could house future farm seeker(s). We have been running 47 raised Hugelkultur beds with automatic watering system generating a wide variety of vegetables. There are also 3 in-ground garden beds used for perennial gardening. The barn has been used for overwintering a variety of livestock. We currently have 80 free range chickens with a roadside stand to sell the eggs. All our current farming activities take place within several acres space constituting the road front to the farm. Farmhouse, Barn, Chicken Coop, 4-Plex, and Hugelkultur beds are within short walking distance.
