Vision for the Farm

We would like the land to be used as it was before - growing hay.  We do plan to put a house on the part of the land that was perc tested but that would not interfere with any farming operations. We are flexible and will work with anyone that is interested in farming our land. This land is surrounded by farm fields and our neighbors next door have horses.  It is a very nice piece of property and it is just sitting unused at this time.

Acreage description

Right now it is a fallow field that used to be farmed for hay.  There are two country drains that run through the property that could be used as a water source. There are no utilities on the property currently and no buildings.  The land would need to be prepped for planting as it has been several years since it was planted. We would be interested in offering a very minimal lease dollar amount since there is a fair amount of prep work to be done. We are mostly interested in having the land be put to use agriculturally. Currently, we have bee hives on the property but that would in no way interfere with any farming operation.

Description of the property’s current condition, current use(s), and past use(s)

Currently, we only have 1 beehive on the property and do plan to have more in the future. We will eventually put a modular home on the property likely in the fall of 2028. Most of the land is available for farming and we would love to see it used to farm hay as it was prior to us purchasing it.

There are two county drains that run through the property but these will not impede on farming.

Additional Information

We prefer limited to no chemical pesticide use when farming this property.

Transition Agreement

Lease

Looking for a short term lease 2 years, possibly more if it is the right situation and both parties are happy.  We want a win-win situation. We are not really looking to make money just put the land back into production.
