Vision for the Farm
The main objective is to keep the already tillable acreage from getting overgrown and possibly turnover some new acreage.
Past/Current Land Usage
Acreage description
I have (2) 80 acre parcels mainly used as deer hunting properties that have large open areas we are looking to have planted. The front 80 has 2 fields that have been worked as recently as 2023. The others have been untouched for several years but just have grasses growing. The main problem with this property is access. The front 10 acres field is easily accessed but the other may be difficult especially with larger equipment.
Description of the property’s current condition, current use(s), and past use(s)
As stated earlier access is the main issue with this property. There are roads and easement access available but it seems to be a problem for larger equipment. We are deer hunters looking to keep our tillable acreage planted to help with hunting practices and land type diversity. The majority of the land is currently planted in row pines.
Additional Information
Looking for someone to plant row crops or hay fields.
Transition Agreement
Farm Seeker/Farm Owner Partnership, Lease, Working arrangement with future partner
Short-term lease but willing to discuss options. Not looking for money as much as looking for someone to plant fields that are way too large for us to manage. We are extremely flexible and looking to discuss and explore different options.
