Vision for the Farm
Forage and Bloom provides a catalyst for permaculture education, meaningful work for trauma survivors and joyous events around storytelling. We plan on having a CSA, selling at the local farmers' market, and hosting agritourism workshops as well. Creating a culture of lifting each other up in the "people care" part of the equation, using regenerative agriculture approaches in the "earth care" part, and contributing to the greater good in the "fair share" aspect of this project will make it a model for the region.

Before describing the farm, I need to let you know that I'm bidding on it on auction - what a roller coaster! If you have any interest in jumping on this wild ride with me, please reach out. The farm has about 12 productive apple trees and a large barn that will be converted to a glass greenhouse to extend our growing season and provide the community with a beautiful space to hold events (small weddings, storytelling events, etc.). It's the headwaters of a small creek and wants to be stewarded with organic practices. It's mostly open and sunny but has a bit of woods/wildlife corridor as well.
