Vision for the Farm

The existing farm is 10 years old.  I am stepping back with my work due to ability and transitioning into retirement.  I will be able to provide mentoring as my time allows.  I envision someone that has some experience and is ready to start their farming business, veggies, cut flowers, or herbs, but may not have access to land. I will be able to provide mentoring as my time allows.  It is important to me to be able to continue with some of my work, so a mutual use of growing space will need to be agreed upon in advance.  The farm has been USDA certified organic up until last year, and I would expect that organic and regenerative practices will continue.    Housing is not available.

Acreage description

A total of 2.5 acres with 1.5 acres in production.  This is the only open land with sun in our 15 wooded acres.  There are two high tunnels, along with drip irrigation for about 1 acre.  Existing perennial crops, with room for additional annual crops.  The land slopes facing the south.

Description of the property’s current condition, current use(s), and past use(s)

The drip irrigation is set up for row crops and has been set up using a 30" bed spacing with a BCS tractor.  There are also patches of land that haven't been planting with crops other than cover crops.  You can see a lot of what I have done over the past 10 years on my socials.
