Vision for the Farm
This property is located on a southern slope in downtown Hancock. Our goal for the property is to create a native plant botanical garden and education center. The community co-op market is located directly across the street. We are seeking 2 to 3 individuals who are interested in bringing this dream to fruition. (more info to be added)

Acreage description
This is a very unique property. Formerly part of Finlandia University, the only Finnish American private college in the United States. The main building 'Old Main" was built in 1900 and contains 22 dorm rooms which will be used for guest rooms and studio space.
It is an urban environment which we will be transitioning into organic gardens and orchards. The entire complex is approximately 2 acres with approximately 1 acres available for cultivation.

Description of the property’s current condition, current use(s), and past use(s)
Since acquiring the property, we have planted approximately 550 native plants. We have two large parking lots that we are in the process of reducing in size to serve as natural areas and future gardens.
The chapel is being used for events as well as the main floor of Old Main. Other areas are under renovation and remodeling.
