Vision for the Farm
We recently moved from a 5 acre parcel in Newport, Michigan. We had about 3 acres planted in Soybeans every year. The property we have now was a cornfield 4 years ago. We don't really care what gets planted as long as it will not effect us living there.
Past/Current Land Usage
Acreage description
Our home is 700 feet from the road and 426 feet wide. The majority of the acreage is between the house and the road on the north side of the driveway. On the south side of the driveway there is another 800 feet or so x 100 feet or so.
Description of the property’s current condition, current use(s), and past use(s)
This property is our our last homestead. We are looking for someone to farm it, mostly to mitigate our ridiculously high tax bills.... It has been fallow for the last four years... Before that the entire 50 acre parcel (of which we own 11.6 acres) was planted in corn for 25+ years.
Additional Information
There are none that we know of according to London Township, Michigan (the parcel is actually in London Township with a Maybee, Michigan mailing address.
